They Always Say You Should Warm up, why though?

Warming up is crucial. Why? It’s the time you need to prepare your muscles, ligaments and joints for the sudden activity it’s about to do. You want to increase blood flow in your muscles and loosen up your joints. There is actually fluid in your joints that you need to release to lubricant them and allow them to get ready for the intense exercise you are about to do.

When you aren’t warming up properly, injury could be the result or  small damage can happen that will lead to injury overtime. Hopping on the treadmill or elliptical for 10 minutes is not bad but it’s still not the best because you still aren’t warming up your ligaments and joints through your entire body. (I used to do that!!) With warming up you need to start with small and gradually get your heart rate up by doing dynamic stretches. Take a look at the video below so you can properly warm your body up prior to your workout so you can stay injury free!
